About Me
Howdy from Clarksville, Tennessee, one of the best kept secrets of the Mid-South. My wife Pam and I are ready to assist you in your real estate needs. Pam is a native of Clarksville and is passionate about helping folks in the Clarksville and Fort Campbell areas find that right property. I too am passionate about assisting both buyers and sellers in their transistion. Your satisfaction is our number one priority. Having served 20 years in the Army, I understand the stress associated with moving.
As I said, Pam grew up right here in Clarksville, Tennessee. I was born and raised outside of Houston Texas close to the coast. Uncle Sam called right out of High School and knowing that I wanted to be a Veternarian and knowing I did not have the financial means (nor the grades) to pursue this, I figured 3 years in service of our Nation was the natural choice. 20 years later I wondered were the time went.
Pam and I are blessed with a wonderful daughter, Ashley Kate. We also have three dogs, a cat, and a whole bunch of Japanese Koi/Carp. I enjoy the art of Nishikigoi more than Pam, but we both enjoy working in the yard and enjoy our fish. Aside from that, we devote our time to our daughter's dance and Pam enjoys scrapbooking and blogging. She really is very talented.
We both enjoy helping people and both enjoy viewing real estate and seeing the potential in every property.
Thank you for stopping by.

Ten days from listing to contract. This was a demanding listing, which took some thorough analysis due to the unique type of property and the acreage, but one that was priced right and highly marketed from the onset. This was our client's first home, thus there was much stress on their part - Pam was there every step of the way to ensure that no issue was left unresolved which really helped to ease the stress.

A great Military Family who we worked with last year. While every client and their family are special to us, those who continue to serve in our Armed Forces hold a dear place in my heart as well as Pam.
When we were looking for our first house we talked to a lot of Realtors. And we kind of got burnt out on looking and then my husband and I were on-line looking at houses one night. And we put our info in Pam's site and she called and she was so polite and helpful . And above all she was not PUSHY!!!! She worked patiently with me to find what I wanted and it was not immediately either we are talking weeks went by and we had looked at all kinds of houses every where within Clarksville. Through it all she was still so nice and patient with me. Well we had looked at everything out there almost and we kept in contact. Both looking for that next one and if I found something I would call her and she would look it up for me and we would go see it. The point is she helped us find the house of our dreams! Pam and Tim are super people who understand being military and that because they once were. And they still keep in touch with us and that says something right there in it's own. Thank you Pam and Tim Cash for all that you have done for me and others . For you both are far more than just a Realtor. You made us feel like family . Spears Family

I must say - working with Don and Sherry was a pleasure. Pam and I are humbled by their comments and proud of the friendship that has blossomed. Thank you both for allowing Pam and I to serve your Clarksville Real Estate needs:
We moved to Clarksville from Texas and knew no one so we selected the realtor from the first house we visited. We soon learned that this realtor was more interested in making money than helping us get a good deal. One day, while out visiting open houses on our own, we met Pam and Tim Cash.
We talked for a long time and they suggested other neighborhoods for us to visit and genuinely seemed to care about our needs. They were so open, honest and caring that we called them a few days later and asked them to be our realtor.
Working with them felt like dear, trusting friends showing us around and we soon found a house to fit our needs. "We've moved around a lot in the last 10 years and have worked with many different realtors in many different states (Virginia, Ohio, Texas) and Pam and Tim are hands down the best.
In fact, we look forward to having to sell our home so that we can work with them again.

This is a phenominal opportunity for many of our children. Please pass along to your friends and clients.
Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on
undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In
making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said,
"When only ten percent of the students in elite higher education come
from families in the lower half of the income distribution, we are not
doing enough. We are not doing enough in bringing elite higher education
to the lower half of the income distribution."
If you know of a family earning less than $60,000 a year with an honor
student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to
pay the tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from
now on undergraduate students from low-income families can go to Harvard
for free... no tuition and no student loans!
To find out more about Harvard offering free tuition for families making
less than $60,000 a year, visit Harvard's financial aid website at:

It has been a busy few weeks for The Cash Team (Who said the market was slow?). We listed 2 homes and had contracts on both homes in just a week, plus we got an offer on yet another one of our listings and it is now under contract as well. This, while working with four different buyers, I would say that we have about all we can handle at this point. Anyone who thinks this business is easy is sadly mistaken.

Real estate can be tough but at the same time rewarding. It's not all just finding a buyer or a seller. There is so much more to it than that. Making sure that you understand your client's needs and concerns, taking time to communicate with them on a daily basis, and ensuring all the little details are completed. Making sure that your seller's understand the importance of pricing their home right the first time, preparing the adverts, pictures (pictures) and more pictures, going over the different items that need to be cleaned up or repaired. For the buyer's side, making sure that your clients are prequalified, finding their requirements, browsing hundreds of homes to narrow down within their specifications, showing homes of interest, and helping the clients to prepare an informed offer by preparing a CMA for them. And so much more!

Once the contract negotiations start you struggle to get the right offer for your seller; the right price for your buyer; schedule home inspections, appraisals, and work with the other agents and repairmen to get work done on homes that need it. Oh, and of course stay in contact with the Mortgage Broker, Title Company and last but certainly not least, your clients. It is making sure the wording is correct on the contract. Keeping your clients from stressing out over low ball offers (or lower offers) and explaining why it is difficult to get full price in today's market or (on the buyer's side) why we could not get a better deal in today's market. It can get rather intense in this business at times. Our problem is we get to know everyone as a friend and want the best we can get them and really stress about it, since they are now a friend. I guess that is the upside as well. This business is about making lasting relationships is it not?

Now, we are not so naïve to count our chickens before the eggs hatch as we once where, but beyond the day to day operations currently ongoing, my mind starts to look for the next listing. We like to keep 4 - 6 listings at any given time. Some of you may think this is a low number, but our philosophy is that no client gets treated any different than another - each gets the care and attention that we would want if we were on the other side of the table. Right now that is 4-6 Listings and 4-6 Buyers at any given time. Sometimes less is more if you know what I mean.

Pam and I did not get into the Real Estate Profession to make millions, we got into this because we enjoy helping others and especially helping Soldiers and their families. Fortunately for us, we would survive if we did not make a sale for many months thanks to the investments we made and our retirement from the Army. I think this helps us to stay focused in a sense and keeps us from overlooking the little things just for the sake of a sale. In the end, purchasing or selling of a home is one of the largest decisions and financial transactions that people will make in their lives - we want to make sure that they are satisfied and taken care of during and after the sale.
After all - as the title states: It's all about the client!

Dear Friends,
With Thanksgiving drawing near Pam and I are reminded how very blessed we are. We enjoy family, friends, our church, our web-business, and the many warm relationships we have formed through this business. We hope you'll take a moment and reflect on the blessings in your own life. You are I are very rich, my friend, and we're not talking about money!
One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is FOOD. In fact, I can just smell pumpkin pie baking any time of year and it brings back memories of family and friends at the Thanksgiving table together. Well, speaking of good smells, Pam wanted to share a favorite recipe with you. Put this dish out on the Thanksgiving table and watch it disappear!
Pam and I wish you and yours have a truly blessed Thanksgiving holiday!
Sincerely,
Tim and Pam Cash

Everyday we see acts of kindness and thanks from everyday Americans. The below story actually brought me to tears as I read it today. It reminded me of one time in particular when I returned from the Gulf and was eating lunch at an Airport in New York late at night with a few of my fellow comrades. As we went to pay for our meals, the waiter told us that an older couple who had saw us walk in had paid for our meals and presented us a handwritten note that simply stated "Thank you for all that you do"
The Sack Lunches
I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat.
It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps
I will get a short nap,' I thought.
Just before take-off, a line of Soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the
vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided to start a conversation.
'Where are you headed?' I asked the Soldier seated nearest to me. ' Chicago - to
Great Lakes Base. We'll be there for two weeks for special training, and then
we're being deployed to Iraq '
After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were
available for five dollars. It would be several hours before we reached Chicago
, and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time.
As I reached for my wallet, I overheard the Soldier ask his buddy if he planned to
buy lunch. 'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch. Probably
wouldn't be worth five bucks. I'll wait till we get to Chicago '
His friend agreed.
I looked around at the other Soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked to the
back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty dollar bill. 'Take a
lunch to all those Soldiers.' She grabbed my arms and squeezed tightly. Her
eyes wet with tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a Soldier in Iraq ; it's
almost like you are doing it for him.'
Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the Soldiers were seated.
She stopped at my seat and asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?'
'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went to the front
of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from first class. 'This
is your thanks.'
After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the
rest room. A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to be part of it.
Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars.
Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down the
aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he walked, I hoped he was not looking for
me, but noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my side of the plane.
When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his hand, an said, 'I want to
shake your hand.'
Quickly unfastening my seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a
booming voice he said, 'I was a Soldier and I was a military pilot. Once,
someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never forgot.' I was
embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers.
Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A man who
was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake
mine. He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.
When we landed in Chicago I gathered my belongings and started to deplane.
Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me, put something in
my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a word. Another
twenty-five dollars!
Upon entering the terminal, I saw the Soldiers gathering for their trip to the
base. I walked over to them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It will
take you some time to reach the base. It will be about time for a sandwich. God
Bless You.'
Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow
travelers. As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe
return. These Soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only
give them a couple of meals.
It seemed so little...
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check Made
payable to ' The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and
including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in This
country who no longer understand it.'

Today, during our weekly meeting we were honored to have Coach Joe come in and give a lecture. Four key points were mentioned in his lecture - Knowledge, Skill, Attitude and Action. Action was the resounding winner in the lecture and obviously I embraced this.
While it is evident that all Real Estate professionals need to have Knowledge and Skill, without Action it is difficult for the most experienced professional to progress in our industry. Action in Coach Joe's mind differs a bit from mine, but there are similarities.
Coach Joe stresses the need of contact through telephone, email, snail mail and face to face. He actually frowned a bit about internet marketing means such as blogging which I totally disagreed with - thus the difference in our methodology. I place alot of my 'action' to blogging and to internet marketing to garner leads. While we certainly make every effort to make contact via email, phone and face to face with potential leads, we capture more leads through internet marketing and allowing potential clients to get to know us through our various blogs.
As the internet is the wave of the future - those who frown upon it are missing the boat per say in my opinion. 90% or better of those looking to buy or sell Real Estate search the internet. I, like many of you want them to know that we are here to assist them in the Clarksville area.
Coach Joe stressed the importance of staying in touch with past clients, which I also agree is very important. Real Estate is as much about your sphere of influence and building quality relationships as it is about the sale. Without your ability to provide a quality Real Estate experience for your customers you will quickly find yourself sitting there scratching your head in wonderment.
Most understand this concept and understand that it IS more than a sale and strive to give their clients the absolute best service possible in hope that they will be remembered and referred to others. Through staying in touch with past clients, you keep you name at the top of their minds and if you were professional and the experience was a positive one, your past client will pass this along to family and friends. Sometimes your Actions speak louder than words.

Tim and Pam Cash

This will be the 10th Annual Christmas on the Cumberland located on the Riverwalk in Clarksville. Many were concerned with the strained budget that we would have to forego this fantastic light show, but somehow, the City of Clarksville has found a way to make the Children's spectacular happen yet again.
Clarksville is proud to announce that the holiday light festival was voted a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society for the upcoming holiday season. This means Christmas on the Cumberland will be recognized in the travel industry as a top destination in the Southeastern United States, which city officials hope will result in a lot more visitors to Clarksville and the RiverWalk this holiday season.
This has become a family tradition for us. We really enjoy the times we spend down on the river and no matter how old we get, we are always amazed at the show. The citizens of Clarksville invite you all to join us this year. For more information, please visit: www.christmasonthecumberland.com

With the Holiday Season quickly upon us, many of you will hit the road to see family and friends. Here are some tips to make sure your trip is a safe and joyous one:
When you travel, know where you are going and how to get there and back. Check for construction detours; for longer trips, get a weather forecast.
If traveling out-of-state, most state law enforcement agencies provide road-and-highway information; check to see what conditions they report before leaving. Inform a Family member where you will be and when to expect you back; give them your route if they don't know it.
Travel and conduct your business during daylight hours if possible. Lock doors and windows when getting into your car and keep them locked while driving.
If you have access to a cellular telephone, carry or take it.
If possible, know the emergency cell codes for the area you're in.
Click here for a state-by-state listing of
highway-related cell phone codes.
When driving, keep doors locked and windows rolled up. Maintain at least half a tank of fuel, and keep vehicle in good repair.
If planning a "road trip" over the holidays, have your vehicle serviced and checked out sufficiently far ahead to allow for repairs if needed. Don't forget to have the mechanic check your spare tire and all fluid levels along with the other preventive maintenance procedures.
Here is wishing you and yours safe travels!

These Internet safety tips can help keep you and your Family safe online.
Keep computers in a central place. It makes it easier for you to keep an eye on your children's activities.
Know where your kids go online. If you have young children, you may want to navigate the Internet with them. For older kids, agree on where they can and can't go before they log on. You can also check where your kids have been by looking at the browser history in your computer's web browser menu. Another option is to use filtering products, like Google's SafeSearch.
Teach Internet Safety. It's impossible to monitor all online activity, all the time. As kids get older, they need to know how to use the Internet safely and responsibly when they're on their own.
Use sharing controls. Many sites that feature user-generated content, including Google's Blogger site, our photo-sharing site Picasa and our social networking site, or cut, have sharing controls that put users in charge of who sees personal blogs, photos, videos, and profiles. Using sharing controls is particularly important when you or your kids share personal information, like names, addresses, or phone numbers, on public sites. In addition to teaching your kids how to use these controls, teach them to respect the privacy of friends and family by not identifying people by name in public profiles and pictures.
Protect passwords. It sounds obvious, but remind your kids not to give out their online passwords and not to click on "remember me" settings on public computers, like at school or at the library.
Beware of stranger danger. Teach kids to avoid in-person meetings with people they "meet" online, and not to share personal information with online strangers because people may not be who they claim to be.
Teach kids to communicate responsibly. A good rule of thumb is: if you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't text it, email it, instant message it, or post it as a comment on someone's page. Many of today's most popular websites have easy-to-use tools that let user's flag inappropriate content that others post online. It's important for kids to know how to flag inappropriate content when they encounter it.
View all content critically. Just because you see it online, doesn't mean it's true. Teach kids how to distinguish reliable sources from unreliable ones and how to verify information they find online. And make sure kids understand that cutting and pasting content right from a website may be plagiarism, and plagiarism is cheating and can get you in trouble!

Our Country has went along way in caring for the Soldiers who defend and serve us as well as their loved ones. Here are some new benefits and services that need to be passed along to the Families of our Heros:
Federal Employment Made Easier for Military Spouses: President Bush signed an executive order allowing hiring managers for all federal agencies to hire qualified military spouses without going through the competitive process of advertising the job. The executive order will apply to spouses of active-duty members on PCS orders, spouses of 100% disabled, retired or separated military members, or unremarried widows or widowers of a military member who is killed while on active duty. The new hiring authorities will not be put into place until the next year.
Raytheon "Thanks" Military Children with a Free Book: To thank the children of the military for their daily sacrifices in the name of protecting America's freedom, Raytheon Company is sponsoring the distribution of the holiday book "It's a Family Thanksgiving! A Celebration of an American Tradition for Children and Their Families." This educational gift will be donated to military families upon request through AUSA Family Programs. To receive your free copy, please send an email to familyprograms@ausa.org with your mailing address. The copies will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Please limit your request to two copies per mailing address.
Commissary's Scholarship Program for Military Children Opens November 3rd: Beginning November 3rd, scholarship applications will be available in commissaries worldwide and online through https://www.commissaries.com or http://www.militaryscholar.org. Dependent, unmarried children (under the age 23) of active duty personnel, reserve/guard and retired military members, survivors of service members who died while on active duty or survivors of individuals who died while receiving retired pay from the military may apply for a scholarship. All applicants must be planning to attend, or already be attending, an accredited college or university full time in the Fall of 2009, or be enrolled in a program of studies designed to transfer directly into a four-year program.
Free YMCA Membership for Families of Deployed Servicemembers: The Department of Defense (DoD) announced that families of deployed members of the National Guard and Reserve, active-duty Servicemembers on independent duty and families, and active-duty Servicemembers and families assigned to selected bases are eligible for free family memberships at participating YMCAs. To sign up for the program, families must complete a YMCA/DoD eligibility form, available at http://www.militaryonesource.com, and provide a copy of deployment orders and a military ID to their local YMCA.
Golden Corral Restaurants Salute America's Heroes: On Monday, November 17, from 5 to 9pm, all 485 Golden Corral restaurants across America will offer any person who has served in the United States Military a free "thank you" dinner buffet and beverage (no identification is required). This is the eighth year Golden Corral restaurants have honored Servicemembers. In addition to the dinner, now until November 17th, Golden Corral's guest may send a personal greeting to America's military personnel on active duty overseas by filling out a postcard available at all Golden Corral restaurants. The postcards will be delivered to the troops prior to the holidays. To find a Golden Corral near you, go to http://www.goldencorral.com/.

Some very good information that needs to get out to all:
New Law Helps Guard and Reserve Members with Debt Relief: The National Guard and Reserve Debt Relief Act of 2008 became public law 110-438. The law, sponsored by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), will ease bankruptcy rules for Guard and Reserve members who have served as active duty Soldiers. The law was drafted from complaints by guardsmen and reservists whose small businesses and personal finances dwindled due to recurring combat deployments. The law prevents courts from dismissing bankruptcy cases based on means-testing if the Guard or Reserve member has been on active duty since September 11, 2001 and was active for more than 90 days. The law is effective through the first year and a half following the Soldier's return home.
Veterans Benefits Improvement Act of 2008 Becomes Law: The Veterans Benefits Improvement Act of 2008 has become public law 110-389. The law pushes the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to use electronic filing and processing of claims to help expedite claim findings, reduce inconsistencies in decisions involving similar issues, and decrease the number of claims that end up being overturned. The law also creates a new authority to provide a temporary disability rating for those veterans who have severe and multiple disabilities that are not fully healed.
Law Grants Special Allowance to Certain Survivors: The 2008 National Defense Authorization Act (110-181) established a special payment for surviving spouses who are Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) beneficiaries, but whose SBP annuity is reduced by their Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC). The 2009 National Defense Authorization Act added survivors of members who died on active duty to those eligible. The Defense Finance and Accounting Service- Cleveland (DFAS-CL) will automatically pay Special Survivor Indemnity Allowance (SSIA) to surviving spouses whose SBP accounts show a DIC offset beginning October 2008. Surviving spouses entitled to SSIA can update their bank account information by contacting DFAS-CL at 1-800-321-1080 or by calling your Retirement Services Officer.
Survivor Benefit Plan's "Paid Up" Status Began October 1st: Retirees who have paid as least 360 Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) premiums and are at least 70 years old were considered "paid-up" as of October 1st. The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) will stop the payments automatically.
5.8% COLA Increase Applies to Veterans and Survivors: President Bush signed the Veterans' Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) Act of 2008 into public law 110-324 in September. Disabled veterans and survivors receiving the dependency and indemnity compensation will receive a 5.8% benefit increase to match the hike in Social Security. Though the increase takes effect on December 1st, it will first appear in January's checks.
Apply for Veterans' Benefits in Advance: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a program available for injured active-duty Servicemembers to submit their claims for benefits prior to separation from active-duty. The program, "Benefits Delivery at Discharge," attempts to avoid new veterans from being caught-up in a backlog of claims for benefits. Claims can be filed within 180 days of discharge. However, the claim is not fully processed until the Servicemember leaves active-duty. A preliminary disability rating is determined based on physical exams and a review of medical records in order to reduce waiting for the first disability check. The program is available at major U.S. military bases, to include Coast Guard facilities and at regional VA offices.
VA is Now Accepting Online Claims Applications: The VA is now accepting online applications (VONAPP) for initial applications for disability compensation, pension, education, and vocational rehabilitation and employment benefits. VONAPP allows users to apply without the hassles of location, postage costs and time delays through mail delivery. VONAPP also provides a link to apply for VA health care benefits.

All Realtors know that reputation is everything. Actually, anyone in a customer service profession should know this. If they don't then they are simply in the wrong profession.
Whether it be a clerk at the local hotel, a receptionist, a car salesman(or woman), etc - if you don't have good people skills and see customer service as one of the utmost principles in your your business sooner or later you will watch as others pass you by.
In Real Estate, there is more than merely people skills to build a reputation. Some other criteria that matter are:
- Aggressiveness: In marketing a listing or searching for that perfect home.
- Persistence: Never give up! When up against a wall and just when you think that you can't find your client the right home, look again.
- Communication: LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS - understand their needs. Make sure that you are giving them honest and professional feedback and advice as well.
- Office hours: Let's face it, Real Estate is not a Mon - Fri, 9-5 job. Many times it is on Saturday or Sunday or after normal work hours.
- Network: Such as we are doing here. Also, answer the feedback requests from other Realtors. It takes a little bit of time but really assists a Realtor and their clients.
- Stay relevant: What worked ten or two years ago may not work today. The days of 'put a sign up and they will come' are gone as are the days of sitting in the office and fielding the calls and walk-ins. Few and far between.
- Be Honest and remember your Fiduciary Duties: Don't tell your clients 'what the want to hear' just for the sake of a sale or a listing - tell them what they 'need' to hear in order to either sell their home in today's market or to ensure that they will be satisfied with a purchase.
I know, you are all thinking - We already know this. Do you? Some certainly do, others, not so much. Why is this? Stuck in a rut, lazy, or depending on the reputation of years back (when the market was a different sales environment).
My mantra has always been 'never forget where you come from' and it has served me well. From my time as a child in Texas living in a shack with a mother working two jobs and trying to care for four kids, to my first years in the Army as a Private, and now as a relatively new Realtor in a vastly changed (and still changing) market.
The moral of the story? Well, in my mind it is that while experience CERTAINLY counts, it MUST be coupled with the above mentioned traits in order to continue to maintain a quality reputation in Real Estate. You can be the most experienced professional in your line of work - but if that line of work is dealing with people, you had best understand that experience alone simply cannot make you successful. It is one of the foundation pillars in which your reputation and business will be built.
All that said, there are MANYgreat Realtors in the Clarksville area and across this great Country, both new and seasoned. For the new - build your reputation - nourish it and maintain it with pride; for the seasoned - do not become complacent or forget how you got to where you are!

Many of us blog about our listings, our lives, the economy, politics, and our community, but who is it that we are talking to? Some I suppose are speaking just to hear themselves, while others are strategic in their discussions and use strategic keywords to increase the probability that their message will be heard (or read in this case) by the right audience. I am still trying to hone my skills at the latter.
As many know, Pam and I hit on a while variety of topics. We enjoy life and our lovely little girl so we inundate you with pictures of such from time to time. We also like to speak of Clarksville, the town in which Pam grew up, and the town in which I have called my home on and off for the past 18 years thanks to the kindness of Uncle Sam.
Fort Campbell and Clarksville are two of the best kept secrets in our Army and our country. When I first received orders to Fort Campbell out of Germany in 1990 I had to ask someone where the heck it was. All I knew was that it wasn't in Texas so it wasn't Fort Hood! There was no access to the internet (or very little) back then so I went to the PX and bought an Atlas and a history book on the storied 101st Airborne Division.
19 years later, after arriving, going to the first Gulf War with the 101st and serving with not only the 101st but with the Special Operations Community on Fort Campbell, I could not have asked for a better assignment. Besides that, I met the love of my life and together we have made a great life in Clarksville Tennessee. But I digress..
Back to the topic at hand - who are you talking to? Well above I suppose I was talking to hear myself talk - a little braggin of sort I suppose. I brag because I am proud of what I have become and what I have accomplished, but also humbled because I know that many people in my life were there to help me to succeed.
Those people are also known as Soldiers and I have the honor of still serving them, but in a different capacity than I once did. Instead of serving beside them, I now am serving them and their families in their PCS moves to and from Fort Campbell Kentucky. While it certainly is not the same as serving beside them, it is a way to stay in touch with my brethren and a way to help them in their careers. I know, you are asking 'How the heck is that old Soldier assisting young Soldiers in their careers?" Simple, between Pam and I, we make the transition process smoother for the Families which assists the Soldier to keep focus on their secondary target (Remember Family is always the primary!)
One day, the young Soldiers of today's Army will pass the beret to the next generation and look to what is next. Some will move on to other areas, some will find a calling and some will remain close to the community which has become family and find a way to continue to serve in some form or manner like many before them. Being a Realtor is simply one of those ways. And reaching them is easier today than it has ever been before.
So, now I am talking to the Soldiers and the Families of the Fort Campbell area or those who are on orders to come to this great community. Know your audience, your market, and the needs of your clientele. Sounds simple right? It is for the most part.
So again, who are you talking to? If you are looking to buy or sell Real Estate in the Clarksville and Fort Campbell area, Pam and I sure hope that you are talking to us. If not us, we sincerely hope you are talking to a Realtor that understands your needs and will work hard to ensure that you and your family's needs are met to the high standards that you are accustomed to. After-all, it is more than just a sale - its a commitment and to many of us in the Clarksville area - an honor to serve you.
For our Heros and their Families who are soon to return, we thank you for your sacrifice and continue to pray for your safe return. Again, we look forward to serving you in the future.
